I am trying to register my extension to the remote pbx, but I keep getting time out errors (408). According to wikipedia:

      408 Request Timeout
Couldn't find the user in time. The server could not produce a response within a suitable amount of time, for example, if it could not determine the location of the user in time. The client MAY repeat the request without modifications at any later time.

Could this mean my extension number is not yet created in the pbx? Any other ideas of what could be wrong or how to troubleshoot my problem?

I used the Ip address : 162.209.2.96 (as host)
username is your extension (just the number)
        password is your secret
        Name the account "NTG"

@WrCombs yes apparently it should be quite easy, but it still doesn´t register.

I had a hard time with it too..

            All of that looks correct...

            Manual config right? ..

            Show the Error screen?

Try now, your IP range was blocked.

Woot! I wonder why the reload failed but the restart worked. Hmm...

I use Linphone on iOS. It works great while it is on screen. Doesn't stay registered when it loses focus, though.

@scottalanmiller Doesn't it do that because iOS doesnt allow any UDP connection in the background? Wouldn't TCP work better in mobiles in order to save battery as well?

I've not tested that, I'll check!

ZoIPer has an OMFG kill my battery setting to force it to keep registration in the background.
