Have used it, once or twice. In a vet clinic. Wasn't anything good or bad, middle of the road. Do they still exist? I don't know any specifics to work with it, though.

We have a customer using it now and want to hide one of the networks.
I haven't done any digging on it yet

In theory should be quite simple. I think those are supposed to be very easy to manage.

@WrCombs You cannot hide your SSIDs on Eero. You also have a limit of your Main SSID and Guest Network. It is geared for Home and really small environments.

It's consumer shit - why would you ever want to hide your WIFI network - that's a business need.

Why Eero over Ubiquiti? Business versus consumer. Does the pro version have APs with wired connections?

My sister and brother-in-law put Eero in they're 7000+ sq ft house. They like it because it was easy to setup and they don't have to mess with it. I prefer Ubiquiti enterprise gear myself (the consumer stuff is, well, consumer crud)

They are consumers - I expect nothing less. If the top most bandwidth isn't needed in the far reaches of the home, then this likely works just fine for them.

it's not even a business need. It does nothing at all for anything since it's trivial to find hidden SSIDs.

Prob because management is much easier. I ditched my APs and edgerouter for a single Amplifi which I can update and control from my phone. My mom has a Deco setup and it works very similarly and is great as well.

@WrCombs You cannot hide your SSIDs on Eero. You also have a limit of your Main SSID and Guest Network. It is geared for Home and really small environments.

                                            that's no good

No good that they put home equipment into a business? Yeah, not so good.

                                            that's what I meant.

Why do they care about hiding their SSID? Just put a password on it and the problem is solved.

And if the restaurant doesn't want to provide WIFI to their customers - them make the SSID something that's not obviously theirs, and when people ask - what's the WIFI - "sorry we don't have wifi"
