Yes -Yes they are. I have used TechSoup for items now for nearly 10 years. Great source of software and such for a NPO.

You don't have to get O365 via TechSoup to qualify though. I actually went through NTG before I moved to NTG, @Minion-Queen, @scottalanmiller, @GregoryHall were all instrumental in the start up process of getting moved over.

If you still need a WebHost - GrassRoots may cover NPOs in Canada as well. - Again free.

I use Icloud for GroveSocial as we are completely Mac/IOS based over on that side of things. But frankly I don't have a ton to save either.
for Personal I use Icloud for sharing photos from gigs etc. out to @art_of_shred easily etc. But really we use our NAS for what we are keeping.

I think it depends on the person you are talking with on SW. I have seen a few topics turn into arguments that would have come to fists if they had been face to face. And I have seen a few where the OP was actually truly welcoming of the advice the others had given him.

If done appropriately, it can help raise the person's expecations and confidence level -- especially once they realize we had to learn it somewhere too.

They don't explain it very well there but you can spin up a VM with OwnCloud already installed and ready to go.

It runs on CentOS 6, but still very handy!

In this case, it's because you want to select the country out of a large list, some of which you cannot easily get a virtual server in. Normal people can't maintain a dozen virtual servers around the world and build their own VPNs just to watch television.

For what it's worth, RescueTime lets you configure it on a schedule so it ignores everything say, outside of work hours.

With Two Factor Enabled, it's not that important.

I would say SSL is more important than two factor to security. A rapid replay attack will defeat two factor pretty easily in most cases. And it is completely vulnerable to man in the middle - to the point of doing nothing at all.
