      Hi,

You cant but the /boot as raid

However the / or root part can be placed as raid, I did this and I will show you how to do this, but please don't do it.

      Here where it gets bad.

You wish to update the system and kernel and all this can affect the RAID/ now the config for the raid is done in the kernel and stored in boot part, so you always updating this and your always keeping the disks busy, even on network packet level. Everything happens will happen on the /

What you want to do is look into purchasing a small reliable drive
Like 64 GB or 128 GB NVMe SSD and using that as your /
or If that is too fancy or expensive, get USB thumb drive and pair it with samsung SD card and install the root part

Then create RAID 10 on the 4 other drives, cause even if the /root fails it wont matter . pop another one and it will auto detect the raid , with cockpit it is very easy to detect the RAID and activate it and mount it

@jaredbusch Right. The datastores are at the hypervisor level. The vmdks would be on respective datastores and then in the VM, they would be also be shown as separate disks.

Does the Perc H710P 1GB raid controller have a battery backup option I'm just not seeing?

I think all of Dell's PERC series RAID controllers are NVRAM for Cache? Meaning, no need for a cache battery module.

      Nowadays, pretty much.

Having just done an IP scheme change a month or so ago, I'm A DHCP Reservations believer. Made the process so simple.

Out of curiosity, was a Windows Server handling DHCP for the network?

Why would this matter? I've done the same thing with Windows DHCP and with router DHCP. Both are fairly trivial.Just watch the details. Like anything.

I was told that upgrading Windows Servers, DHCP reservations don't transfer. Of course it should be quick and easy to redo the reservations. Just one of those little annoyances.

Umm, like anything, you export your config and import it on the new server.

A full day is a lot to not be able to log in. They need a workaround to that email dependency.

Oh yeah, Although I was able to login and work on my lab cloud helpdesk. But yeah email dependcy is not the best. Let me see what I can auggest.

The techs didn't notice, because on the tech side, email isn't used. Only end users could not submit tickets in any fashion, but they didn't know that they couldn't submit tickets.

      Yeah, that’s true.

@romo said in Errors in outbound calls in one extension - Freepbx:

This would be an inbound call right?

You have a bad inbound route setup (you have ports forwarded and no catchall any/any route) or you allow SIP guests.
This is a call terminating on your system but to with a DID you do not own.

      This is a probe.

@travisdh1 said in How secure are databases in general?:

They are vulnerable, but mostly because applications use a single authenticated user to access a given database. So most of the vulnerabilities are in the web pages and/or applications using a database.

That's application security, not related to the database. Same risk would exist with no database.

@scottalanmiller Right. So being legit in this scenario, would be so cost prohibitive, it's not possible realistically.

Exactly. It's not technically impossible, as long as Vultr would tell you the number of physical servers within the datacenter you are in and/or the number that are in a pool that your workload could be moved to, which might be any within the datacenter, or might be a subset.

Same applies to AWS and Azure I assume correct @scottalanmiller ?

      Correct, any cloud.

A collaboration app can't do this. At best it can do it for a specific case, but not the general one. There is no collaboration product for any platform that can do that.
