Athletics doping: Wada commission wants Russia ban

      http://www.bbc.com/sport/athletics/34765444

Wada's independent commission examined allegations of doping, cover-ups, and extortion in Russian athletics, which also implicated the IAAF, the sport's world governing body.

It also wants five athletes and five coaches to get lifetime doping bans.

The report also identified "systemic failures" in the IAAF that prevent an "effective" anti-doping programme.

In addition, it states the London 2012 Olympics were "sabotaged" by the "widespread inaction" against Russian athletes with suspicious doping profiles by the IAAF and the Russian athletics federation.

@StrongBad If not a full-out snub. How many people don't know that Steve Irwin is dead?

As bad as I feel for her family, I think she should drop the show like a hot potato.

@dafyre Why should she drop the show and cave to the judge trying to hurt her and keep her from her earnings? Did the show do anything wrong? Did she? Seems like only the court would be the winner if she just gave in.

@StrongBad True. Plus if she quits the show gets ratings... of she fights it, the show gets ratings...

            Ugh.

You're right. She should fight it and put those {censored} {explicative} {self filtered} {content moderated} judges in their place.

You realize that this is a judge in a California court room, right? Not a judge on a television show? The show is innocent here, just like she is.

And it is all about legal paperwork that ALL MINORS have to have correctly completed to legally enter into these types of agreements. It does not matter who you are.

This is the non-news item of the day. It is 'Murica media at its best.

France has declared a national state of emergency and has closed its borders after at least 40 people were killed in multiple shootings in Paris.

At least 15 people have been killed near the Bataclan arts centre, where up to 60 people are reportedly being held hostage, French media say.

Three people were killed in an attack at the Stade de France, with some reports suggesting a suicide blast.

Paris authorities have asked people to stay indoors.

Military personnel are being deployed across Paris.

The deadliest attack appears to have targeted the Bataclan concert hall. The BBC's Hugh Schofield says scores of ambulances have arrived at the scene, suggesting many victims inside.

Other attacks hit Le Petit Cambodge restaurant in the 11th district where a BBC reporter could see 10 people lying on the road, either dead or seriously injured.

Another hit Le Carillon bar not too far away.

An eyewitness told Liberation he had heard more than 100 rounds being fired at a cafe in rue de Charonne.

There are reports of up to six gunmen involved.
