Occasionally, the unread will not update. like the sockets die or something.

Finally... Now I can get the work I wanted to get done this afternoon accomplished on this device.
Apparently the user never let it finish a full initial backup and never thought to plug in the LAN cable on his desk for the last 3 weeks.
