      You gonna share?

Depends - what are you bringing. The grill and the smoker are ready to go,..

Sounds like @Dashrender wants to bring the... Fireball.

It is apparently the only thing he drinks.. Severely lacking in culture he is.

I get to play Handy Manny again and figure out where the NEW leak in the roof is at. Ugh. Who said home ownership was a good thing?

Make your own mead, it's super easy!

I do 5gallon batches - roughly 4KG of honey, 2 gallons of fresh (preservative free) apple juice, water to top up to 5 gallons. Add yeast from your local brew supplier (get the bucket and airlock there too). I like EC1118 champagne yeast for mead as it's capable of getting you up to nearly 20% ABV and those are some hearty and forgiving little beasties.

Google for a better recipe but that'll give you the basics.

Do it man, you litterally just take the honey, water, juice and yeast and throw it in a bucket for a month. It really is that easy.

I had mead at the last beerfest I went to.

                  Thought it was terrible.

                    C'est la vie

Home made is the best I've had. I like the apple / honey mix better than proper pure mead (honey only).

                    YMMV 🙂

                    (More for me!)

Was the mead crafted by someone who has experience?

And I guess there is dry meads as well.. but what I had was the best.

and @MattSpeller Oh I plan too... I plan too....

                      😄

@gjacobse pro tip: better the stuff you put in is, the better the end result will be. Distilled water and high quality honey & juice (if you use it) are highly recommended.

Really hoping to see the ruins at Knossos tomorrow. @dominica's ankle is still terrible and she had a tough time getting to the corner store two days ago, but she is hoping to make an attempt at seeing the ruins tomorrow. It's on the chilly side out today but supposed to be three degrees warmer tomorrow. So it might work out.

At this point, I'm just hoping for healthy kids and an uneventful weekend. If we're all able to leave the house to go grocery shopping, that would be an improvement.

Wifey and I have got some in-house movie viewing lined up. After Earth, Minions, and one other one that I can't remember, lol.
