I'm having a hell of a time connecting to the steam network, is anyone else having issues?

Hence the idea of using scale out technology. Not an issue that most sites have any longer.

Yup, suggestive that the app servers are up but the database is down.

Still down... you'd think they'd have droves of people on staff to make sure these kinds of things 1) don't happen 2) are resolved rapidly if they do.
