Hopefully we will find out what they are going to do to fix her. -

Because it's freaking cold out! Who needs snow when you can get frostbite in 10 minutes.

This isn't a comparison to NY - but in some areas the terrain is pretty varied - hills and curves and such. We've had buses slid off the road on less.

No doubt, right? We wouldn't get a snow day for less than 8+ in a single snowfall. And around here, they normally wait for the last min before deciding.

The only time we get snow days around here is if the windchill falls below -15.

The school district here sets it officially at a Wind Chill Warning as defined by the NWS, which means -30 F wind chills. A Wind Chill Advisory (-20 F) is school on, but an excused absence is marked if you keep your child home.
