New 25Gbe and 100Gbe NICs available with RDMA support. This is some screaming fast gear.

I wonder what the price difference will be between IB cards and these.

It sounds like these are already in production and available publicly. Would love to see a price on them in general.

@coliver - For the Cisco, 1 million dollars.

For every other brand, maybe a few hundred.

Just did a quick search, and it looks like the only thing on the market currently are Mellonox cards for a little below $1k, so you're assuredly spot on.

They are. On the expensive side right now. But not for long, I don't think.

That's kind of my point, these have to be cheap. You can already get Mellanox 10/40GbE Infiniband cards for $600-$700. Mellanox 100Gb Infiniband is only around $1500.

That's the monthly billing option right?

Oh no that is a purchase price. But there is a maintenance contract which has to be renewed annually.

@stacksofplates They will end up costing the same as 10/40 in not too long. Same number of lama's used.

Note, RDMA, and RCoE require your protocol support it, and your platform support it end to end.

It will def be nice to have 100Gb without the RDMA support. We have a limited set of applications that can utilize it so I'll be happy once we get to use this.
