Calling Atlanta-area Wind instrumentalists and Percussionists!

So here's my shameless plug: I'm the president of the Peachtree Symphonic Winds, a community concert band based out of Chamblee, GA.
We're always looking for new musicians who enjoy performing good concert band literature to join us. We have openings in all sections, and if you're in the area and think you'd like to have a good time and play some good music, send me a message.
If you don't play, but would like to hear some enjoyable performances, let me know and I'll get your a concert list. We're in the process of reworking our website, so if you follow the above link, you won't see the concert list posted just yet.

Once upon a time I used to play trombone for that sort of stuff. Kind of miss it. Would be a long drive, though.

Look for opportunities. Community concert bands pretty popular, especially in a large metro area. I can think of five in the Atlanta metro alone--all of which perform a variety of literature.

I have no free time. Anything like that would just mean time not doing work that needs to be done and/or time away from the kids

I understand. Got to achieve "the balance." I make a point to keep the PSW in my life, as, without some performance outlet, it'll be the end of an important part of me. I'm now an IT pro, but I'll always be a musician :D.

I was a professional guitarist (classical) and trombonist (ensemble and jazz) at one point. It was great and I loved it, but it took so much of my time. While I enjoy it a lot, I don't enjoy it more than my career stuff. But one pays the bills and one does not, so it is an important trade off. Once upon a time I played guitar to pay the bills and had to play over six hours a day. Was fun, but that's why I have carpal tunnel now.
