My dad mentioned that. Apparently she had slipped and fallen recently.

Yea that was about a week ago. But I don't think it was specifically related

Not a horrible idea, but how are they going to police something like this?

@reid-cooper they'll have no real way to prove that someone is mining.

Short of breaking into your house to see what you are doing, how could they know.

I'd imagine that Power Companies are recording your usage stats. If somebody's usage suddenly shoots up...

Then they'd guess that you are growing pot. That's traditionally what that means.

There is nothing illegal about crypto mining. And depending on. What state growing weed may be legal.

The idea of charging more for using more electric it is just dumb.

It's idebtial to paid fast lanes and net neutrality.

Who gives a damn how I use the electric, you're still being paid.

I think the problem is that people are using more power than the grid can generate?

Short of breaking into your house to see what you are doing, how could they know.

I'd imagine that Power Companies are recording your usage stats. If somebody's usage suddenly shoots up...

Then they'd guess that you are growing pot. That's traditionally what that means.

Either way they could call the authorities, lol. (not that they would...)

Yea but this really doesn't matter. You're using to much water(car washes) to much natural gas(restaurants) so we're going to charge you more.

                                            The idea doesn't make sense.
