Printed my first asset tags with SnipeIT today using a BP-730 label printer and some checkerboard security labels (the type of sticker that can't be removed without destroying it).

Setting up the printer wasn't fun, but the result is great.

About to do some more painting. So much home repair to do.

            Home Ownership... the joys.

            Things needed here:

            • exterior paint and caulk
            • replacement of dead shrubs
            • landscaping (rock not mulch)
            • repair Front door (de-laminating)
            • Sow Seed, weed control
            • repair chain saw
            • maintenance on mower
            • maintenance on trimmer
            • edging the sidewalk / driveway
            • repair/replace mailbox
            • replace septic tank access block

and a few other things.... sigh.. And that' is just outside,.. just as long a list for inside.

Hire lawn care. Half of your list is now cleared up.

Hiring someone to do it requires funds not currently available.

            Sad, but true.

Our plan is to totally remove the lawn.

I've been thinking about doing that to our small front yard.

We are thinking a Mediterranean garden like we are used to in Italy, Spain, and Greece. I really would like a rosemary hedge, which is common there. Keeps the nasty bugs away and smells great. And grows well locally here.

Staying on track with that... Is this the same rosemary that can be used in cooking?

It is. Rosemary will grow like crazy in the right spot. And it smells so amazing.

Having fun poking around with networking on my home lab machine -- and refreshing / learning a little in the process.

Switching from primer to the "real paint" in the kids' room.

Making a list of stuff to get for tomorrow's celebration of International Whiskey Day:

                                Short list of contenders:

                                Four Roses (bourbon)
                                Templeton or Bulliet (Rye)
Balvenie double wood or Caribbean cask (Scotch)
VO Gold or CC 12 year reserve (Canadian)
                                Tullamore Dew rum cask (Irish)
                                Jack Daniels (Tennessee)
Bushmills caskmate - Guinness or IPA cask (Irish)
Something Japanese ( @JaredBusch any suggestions?)

Do not know any Japanese hard liquors.

This list would help you find sake by type. The best is on top and descending from there.

Just wrapped up painting the girls' room for the night. Two coats of primer done. And now a full coat of the real paint. Going to get up and do one more coat first thing in the morning and we are done with it.

The girls are so excited. They love it.
