My kids' Steam laptop is having issues. It's fully updated to the latest Windows 10 and latest NVidia drivers. Machine is very clean, basically nothing but video games on it. Steam starts in Big Screen Mode but has some glitch and goes to an all blue screen with a mouse pointer and does nothing else. That's it. It's useless. I can kill it with Task Manager and the laptop works fine. Games not on Steam work fine. It's just the Steam client itself having an issue. I'm pretty sure it is just a graphics setting issue.

But because it starts in Big Screen, and no menus exist, there is no way to get it out of Big Screen mode! So I can't get it to normal mode to change settings or to just use that way.

Anyone know how to get it to start or revert to normal mode?

Thanks @black3dynamite .... before I saw that I tried a fresh install (over the top of the old one) and that fixed it for me.
