      If you are on Ubuntu 19.04, then you can attempt an update to the newly released (this morning) Ubuntu 19.10! To see if your local mirrors are letting you update yet (mine are not), just run this command...

      sudo do-release-upgrade -c

        @scottalanmiller

        Can you add this to the official documentation? 🙂

        are you sure -c exists?

            "Official" docs are way behind what is in the app itself...

            $ sudo do-release-upgrade --help
            Usage: do-release-upgrade [options]

            Options:
              -h, --help show this help message and exit
              -V, --version Show version and exit
              -d, --devel-release If using the latest supported release, upgrade to the
                                    development release
              --data-dir=DATA_DIR Directory that contains the data files
              -p, --proposed Try upgrading to the latest release using the upgrader
                                    from $distro-proposed
              -m MODE, --mode=MODE Run in a special upgrade mode. Currently 'desktop' for
                                    regular upgrades of a desktop system and 'server' for
                                    server systems are supported.
              -f FRONTEND, --frontend=FRONTEND
                                    Run the specified frontend
              -c, --check-dist-upgrade-only
                                    Check only if a new distribution release is available
                                    and report the result via the exit code
              --allow-third-party Try the upgrade with third party mirrors and
                                    repositories enabled instead of commenting them out.
              -q, --quiet

            -c definitely exists.

              Disregarding this small thing, i feel ubuntu is no longer what it used to be.

              Phoronix made benchmark and Debian was much better than it, it just came bloated and bloated.

              I need to switch and learn something new, and since I am in Canada most likely it will be Fedora to get more familar with RHEL. I wish i was in Europe I wouldve loved suse, and the direct women. I hate it here I have to dress up and go on dates for hookups it doesnt make sense, it is hookup why play the act

                  If I wanted to use Debian for Desktops or Laptops I started to use their unofficial images (non-free) that includes proprietary firmware to make a better out of the box experience.

                    @Emad-R It's all great having numbers and visual aid to show results but will you really notice the difference when using Ubuntu compare Debian, assuming you are using the same desktop environment?

                      That's the tough comparison. Ubuntu has more features and a different desktop. I specifically like Ubuntu's desktop. So going to Debian I'd likely modify it to the point of being Ubuntu, lol.
