Right now, Iām just becoming familiar with just creating physical volumes, volume groups, and small logical volumes from a group. One thing I am curious though is how (if) a physical volume failure is handled.
If you have three physical volumes and one is bad.
/dev/sda1 (bad)
/dev/sdb1
/dev/sdc1# If possible, move data from bad drive. pvmove /dev/sda1 -OR- pvmove /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1 # Remove the bad drive vgreduce <volumegroupname> /dev/sda1 -

I've been spending time on CBT Nuggets. So far its been great.
I learned so much from that in my earlier days.

Our office is closed for the last 2 weeks of the year, so I'm not motivated to do much either.

I was going to make a run to Houston yesterday but decided against it. I'm a lot closer though. Pretty good haul for you.
