From a venture capitalist stand point, its a good buy.
I guess the next possible question is, is there the tiniest conflict of interest if they own both Unitrends and Veeam? Parents love their children but their is always a favorite.

This is my concern as well - being to worried about the dollars only - just can't be good for the actual company/product/support

I was never a Unitrends user. If others were, did Unitrends get better or worse after 2014? Did licensing costs go nuts with less services or the like?

I've heard form some that they are not as good as they were. but i know some others that use their solution and like it.

Damn. That portfolio page is nuts. I saw 6 that we use here, plus several that I use outside of work and I stopped scrolling like 20 screens down.

I remember the last guy that said that to me. It wasn't long (literally 2-3 weeks) before he put the disks back into our backup server the wrong way around and the array fried itself. (long time ago).
The blood drained from his face as the realisation of what he'd done sunk in and the panic set in.Why the MSP needed the server down and the disks out of the array, I don't recall but your now on a countdown to an epic ballsup
