      Hi all,

      Is there anyone here using MS CRM 2013 online? As part of our MS partner program, we've got some online licenses and would like to us it. Currently enabled the online subscription and trying to figure out how to start configuring it. Any pointers would be helpful.

      On a side note, a funny thing on this. I got the partner licenses from Microsoft (60 users license- online) and when I tried activating it, I couldn't see my country United Arab Emirates. Upon calling MS support team, they mentioned that this is not available for UAE! Just wondering how on earth I got the license package if its not available for my region and the MS support guy was also wondering about this! 🙂 Anyways, sorted that using another country where we have an office which is also registered under the partner network.

            To be honest I have very little or no knowledge on CRM 🙂

            What I heard about CRM is you get enquiries from your website and you manage the leads through the CRM system. Please correct if I am wrong. I am inside the crm portal, created an account, but pretty much lost on how to get this done. Still checking on different sites to understand this and setup as we need.

              That's part of it. It's Customer Relation Management. Basically it gives you a central spot to manage all of your projects, request, etc for that customer.

                @ambarishrh In what direction are you looking to go with your CRM use? There are many ways it can be customised, but primarily it is for sales and customer data handling.
                A basic workflow in CRM looks something a little like this:

                I have administered MS Dynamics CRM since 2008 and can probably help you, but I need to know some context for what you are looking to do.

                    @Katie Thanks a lot for the help.
                    We get sales lead through our website on a contact form, and would like to use CRM to manage the leads. I have the online crm 2013 with 60 user license.

                      Currently, we get the leads to an email distribution list, then create the customer on our in house project management tool, and manually add all details in that. From there all activities are done through that portal but its all manual. So trying to use the CRM as an alternative and use it to automate if possible with detailed reports.

                        @scottalanmiller Thanks for referring Katie and she helped me to start with CRM. I got some basic ideas now and also invited our sales team member to design the workflow and related setup. If all goes well, will post it here on my experience

                              @Katie So after few months of the project being on hold, we are starting it now.

                              I got the requirement for the lead management workflow, but not sure on how to do this on CRM. Could you please help?

                                What kind of workflow are you trying to build?
                                There is some information on workflows here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn531067.aspx

                                      @Minion-Queen Thanks!

                                      Yes, rather than me figuring it out taking more time, I would better ask your help. How can I reach you to discuss this in detail?
