*Affordable* IP Addressable Power Strips (rack mounted as bonus)

We had an incident over the weekend that took us down for ~5 hours. Why yes, this did indeed suck!
Our el-cheapo power managed kvm thingy by Startek failed miserably and took out essentially our whole infrastructure in the blink of an eye. I'll find the model and link it if anyone cares enough.
What do you use / suggest for an AFFORDABLE solution. We've looked at some sexy APC ones but at over a thousand bucks a pop we'd need to fire an employee. Even when I asked nicely that's apparently not an acceptable solution.

I'm using some Digital Loggers Web Power switch at home, it's got 8 outlets w/ control. two always on. I paid about $100 for it. It is not rack mounted but has mounting holes and could be mounted on the back of a rack likely.
