@johnhooks i had an HP (no longer have it). Do you have some questions?

I ordered a Toshiba Chromebook 2. My wife has the same one, I really like it. It has a 1920x1080 IPS screen and 4GB RAM, just curious what other people had and their experiences.

I saw an ASUS 10" one that filds into a tablet, but I didn't know if I would ever use that and it had a rockchip processor.

I am still looking at cheap TVs.

I hate Westinghouse, but this would be under $250.

I mean, at what point do we stop caring if the things dies?

Support chat with Dell to get a tech out to replace the battery on the raid controller.

@BRRABill I've had good luck with Westinghouse, but it has been a while.

I liked the interface but due to the fact EVERYTHING I do is so MS based it wasn't very useful to me. However I have suggested these to many people and everyone is really happy with them.

We have one in the kitchen. It's ... OK.

And I have two dead monitors at work, both Westinghouse, LOL.

                    Still. I am considering it.

With eBates and Discover it'll be sub- $250.

@BRRABill I got only the finest "Seiki" 40" 4k tv last year. It was manufacturers defect (4h timer shuts down TV no matter what you do). Works great, would recommend.

                          @BRRABill actually serious lol - I don't recommend it for the 4k, but it's a solid 1080P monitor

                            My wife loves her's.

Most of what I need is web and ssh access. I'll be putting crouton on so I can run Linux in a chroot also. That way I can use x2go or whatever else I need.

So I just hit the client java wall. I have a cheap dlink wireless camera. I set it up so I could check my 3d printer. The only way to view live video on the camera is either Java, ActiveX, or the phone client.

                                          Overkill, but...

Setup a VM, get an RDP client for your phone

It's the dlink app. I'll just use that, I was just hoping to use it with my laptop.
