This is my "today's reason why I'm glad that I live in Europe" moment.

It never gets cold in Europe?

Norway it does 🙂 Most of Europe is insanely moderate. Europeans complain about the weather but most have no idea what harsh weather is like. The eastern half of the US has the most brutal weather in the world. NY gets like 20 degrees hotter than the hottest city in Europe. The US goes through hotter highs and colder lows every year that most Europeans ever see of either.

For now... it might get very cold there in a few decades.

No.... Europe is obviously so superior to America that they are not experiencing global warming...

I was going to comment seriously... but the joke just clicked in my head.

Actually, Europe is the big loser in global warming. It's expected to freeze from it. It's the only large area that will get colder, a lot colder. Because it is expected to lose the ocean currents that keep it warm now.

@scottalanmiller DG/UX on a Data General AViiON. In theory it should never need to go down, but it is getting cranky in its old age.

@scottalanmiller Indeed. It predates my career (high school career, even) -- and will probably outlast it too 😉

I'm not 100% sure when this guy was put into service but I believe it was mid 90's.

What is it running that it isn't replaced with a Raspberry Pi?

And I'm not kidding, a Raspberry Pi 3 might easily crush that thing in CPU, memory and disks!
