I would much more appreciate a raise.
We get raises and holiday bonuses here. There has never been an "employee of the year" here, but we can buy nice TVs w/ those bonuses...
That sounds fair. Here they give mostly no raises but if they do it's across the board to everyone. So the guy that does nothing gets the same raise as the guy who kills himself working. It's counter intuitive.
Also counter productive. It directly rewards laziness and punishes working hard.
Scott was telling me this about employees who spend time on the phones too (granted there was a bit more to it than that

The trouble with the raises across the board (besides what's already been said) is the lazy person who's super exited to get that raise doesn't care.
Not honestly, if they did they'd work harder to try and get a better raise.

I'm a part of the Big Sushi group if you've ever listened to their podcast. We've been friends for almost two decades. We met at this LAN event called cyber freak meet. There were so many people there that our groups end up being absolutely ridiculous

Yeah mine too actually. This group I haven't seen in so long. My best friends usually go with me but they decided to go to Magfest instead. It was one or the other unfortunately.

Nope. No one bats an eye.

Especially since my pictures are often features on their Facebook pages and draw a lot of attention to them. They tend to adorn Booking.com and TripAdvisor, as well.

I see tons, so this is a pretty normal thing from my POV.
I see a moderate amount. I use Instagram to feed Facebook, more on IM than FB, but both have a fair bit.
