Recovers from 100+ degree fever, been stuck reading like Mad the last two days... The only benefit: I got two freebie days at work due to the water problems in town.

It's not pink is it? When I was a kid, sometimes they water would be pink and have a strange smell. I've tried to figure out what that is, to this day even the Bosnian state still doesn't even acknowledge this.

No, it ain't pink. If nothing else, it's doing to turn several shades of orange or brown. If it's orange, there was a lot of Georgia Red Clay where the pipe broke. If it's brown, then there's just regular dirt... I hope.

Oh yeah, we had that too, tasted like metal on the tip of your tongue.

I just made up a rhyme, works in English, not in Serbian:

Brown, drink it down, if it's pink, avoid the sink.

In 2000 in there was that Romanian cyanide in the water thing that affected half of the Balkans. I visited the town that had the leak this weekend.

I grew up on well water... after a good rain, it was almost always brown for a day or two.

              Flint Michigan?

Even worse than 1980s Serbia. I've lived in Michigan.... ugh. Flint specifically I've lived downtown.

After the war my family mostly stays in Bosnia, the Sarajevo area. I do have a few cousins in modern Serbia but I don't really have much contact with them. Hilariously though I once got linked to one on 23andme.

Saw one at the Lidl, thought about getting it. But figured we just need to adapt. The local kids use a communal cup at the well. I figure we can manage.

I grew up on well water... after a good rain, it was almost always brown for a day or two.

My tap is brown currently. Little bits floating in it.

Sometimes you can let it run for a few second and it will clear up.. Or you should keep a Brita water filter on hand, lol.

Man, I sure love my first world, piped in water.

                                  This tastes better. Totally untreated.

I can vouch for GA well water.... but I'd have my reservations about drinking international brown "water".

Catskill watershed well water is some of the best.

My parents have a well. I can't drink city water, I can taste everything in it. Well water tastes so much better.
