        Seattle isn't known for it's beachline...LOL

But it is for its waterfront. So kinda.

Yes, it is similar to NYC and Chicago in that you hear about its skyline and it's on the water, but it's not really a place you go to so you can go to the beach.

You sleep with the curtains open? Wow...I've never been able to do that...

Yup. I prefer a view and lights. More connected to time passing.

I need it as dark as possible to sleep. That and I HATE when sunshine starts to come in in the morning.

Seattle has a waterfront? I only knew three things about Seattle

            1. Microsoft's main patch of dirt is there
            2. There's an odd looking tower
            3. Nirvana

Well, I can now add "It has a waterfront to the list"

@nadnerB check it on a map. The city is on an isthmus and consists of several islands and lakes. It's a city of water.

Puns aside, do they have flooding issues?

Not much as they get little rain. Very dry city.

Seattle is tied with Portland for the cities with the most rainy days in the country. Even though they don't get the highest volume of rain, I believe, they are not a "dry" city.

Yesterday was a training day. So today she will start getting into the groove. She will pop in and say hi.

Drier than the entire US east coast. Seattle is more like Dallas. It gets very little rain. There are drier cities, of course, it isn't a desert. But Seattle is quite dry by the standards of anyone from east of the Mississippi. Not eastern city is as dry.

Overcast and chilly. Not bad. The walk through downtown was nice. I'd prefer a little warmer and rainy, though.

I love days where it's 55 or 60 and the rain is a little cool but the air is more on the warm side than the cool side. Those are awesome! I still say my ideal days are steady rain and 35-50F. The rain is perfect when you can walk in it without getting doused in seconds. Steady but not pouring. If I am able to stay home, I want it to storm though. Rain as hard as you can Earth!
