MOST of the deletions are because the threads cannot be forked like we can do here. So a whole. valuable discussion was trimmed off. Which is bad as lots of good insight goes in there.

Dang... and we missed it!
Surprising... I actually took it down myself, but the backlash it caused was ridiculous. Long story short: Someone from a vendor called one of my devs trying to reach me, so I blasted them on SW. Then I got a long PM from their CEO whining about how much $$ they spend to be in the community, etc. The gist of the convo was them bitching at me for providing an incorrect phone #, even though all the disclaimers on every contest say "vendor will contact you by email. Even Sean got into it, with a long email sent to me. I told them that email contact is fine, but when you start disrupting my dev team with sales calls, that is unacceptable. So now I'm semi-banned from contests, but the backlash is that I'll never provide a single bit of technical help again. I just lurk around and report shitty posts and shitty users and enter contests that don't require a post on a thread.

I put the sim card in another phone (had an old android sitting around) so I was able to get 2FA notifications and get the phone past the iCloud loop. It still wouldn't restore from backup, but I was finally able to set it up as a new phone. I have now added a second phone to the 2FA list

I know that Nutanix complains if I post about their performance reporting issues. But they don't complain to me, they complain to people that they are paying to make sure that raw complaints don't get posted. If they thought that I thought little of them before that, zero credibility now. And it was exactly the thing that they were getting in trouble for... blocking reports of performance problems.

Talk about an enormous business for doing nothing. Not that the student in question here did nothing. Only pointing out the scale of extra-national education and its impact on the economy. Rich, foreign students are big money... as long as they don't fail out.

I always wondered why IUP has such a large amount of foreign students. I couldn't believe people's dream was to go to school in America at a small state school in Western Pennsylvania.
