I figured most of you would be shooting guns, getting drunk and BBQ'ing on Monday so best wishes in advance from a cheeky Canadian
Despite what everyone is always claiming, very few people actually celebrate by wildly shooting guns. I may take a 50 pack to the range during the day, but that's just because I need to keep in practice. Part of that whole being responsible for the things you own thing.

They let you drink on the range in such quantity?

The VM is back up and running, the import into XS is taking it's sweet time.
I booted the original VM (3months old) on the Hyper-V server it originated on. Got logged in as the local admin (had to get the password from our MSP) and rejoined it to the domain.
Mounted our backups from last night (file level) and restored the files that were needed.
Edit: Had to explain to boss what HA means at the Hypervisor level. And that Application level Backups aren't managed via XS.

I avoid that whenever possible. Cisco VoIP is awful.

Got the backup of the backup server restored, now I'm doing a test restore of the largest file on it. This is on a usb drive, shared over NFS. Gonna take over night.
