I tried Portal and I find the idea intriguing and interesting but the game just didn't grab me. Not my kind of game, but I appreciate the design and understand why people like it. I was talking about it with my dad a few weeks ago and I could tell that it piqued his interest. When I saw it on sale on Steam I told him about it and he snatched it right up.

I'm with you @scottalanmiller . Portal isn't my game, but I can appreciate the concept and why people like it.
