My wife is watching TV and just heard a story about a guy in Australia:
Bill had a frontal car crash. When he was picked up by the ambulance, he had a heart attack while on the way to the hospital. Clinical dead for 14 minutes. But he survived that and because he had so much luck, he thought it could be a good idea to get a scratchcard. He won a brand new car.
After a TV station got word of the story, they asked him to replay that scene and get another scratchcard... yet another jackpot: 250,000 AUD.Karma can be odd at times

Hehe, probably. But being clinical dead for 14 minutes and survive that is next to a miracle. I've heard something like that before, but there's virtually always very cold water involved.

I buy one or two $1 scratch-offs 2-3x/month. I've won before, but usually don't. I tend to do better with QuikDraw, but I do that at most once/month at a bar.
