I know a guy that runs a machine shop as a hobby, who made his own 3D printer. Even I'm not that much of a hardcore maker, but it means I have easy access to something I don't have the space for myself.
I'd build a DIY but not from scratch. I don't have the knowledge to do that. Would be really cool to have someone experienced show me the process though
Yeah, I wouldn't be afraid to put a kit together, but he built the entire thing from scratch. A lot heavier duty than even the more expensive units for the home.. still not like the industrial models tho.
