@jaredbusch said in What Are You Doing Right Now: @scottalanmiller said in What Are You Doing Right Now: For those interested, we tested SendGrid as a relay for Zimbra and found it... useless. We are now testing MailGun and so far, it's rocking. ML uses MailGun as well. What is the point of a relay for a mail server? It's a common strategy to allow for running an in house email server with all of the flexibility that that entails, with the delivery protection that you get from a major email provider. We compared with Zoho and the different in price for the same service is a difference of around $3/mo compared to $80/mo. Of course Zoho has extra features, but not ones that we wanted. It does have a nice interface for sure, but not that kind of price nicer. But without a relay, you are at the mercy of your IP address for RBLs. With a relay, we get the deliverability rate of Rackspace's own email system. Pretty nice compromise. Very cheap, very easy. Also adds some extra benefits like a GUI for monitoring delivery rates and stuff. not a big deal, but a nice add on.

Wow, yeah, time for some updates. Like a LOT of updates. What Zimbra version is it? We are still on 8.8.8. Zimbra 8.5

So many people with masks on today because of the smoke that is everywhere. Can smell it there's so much, but no fires within a hundred miles or more of here.

Ah, ok yes, that is a very valid reason for it, but not one that I realistically ever need to deal with at clients that have their own Exchange servers.

I drink it black so it's not like I'm getting all the negative from added milk/sugar/fakeshit
