Just got okay'd to work from home tomorrow so i can keep any eye on the little guy, I just have to prove that I am in fact working tomorrow my sending emails/snippets to my bosses.

LOL - so you could be sitting on your ass in the office surfing porn and that's OK - but being oncall working from home - you have to send poke him emails to prove you're actually online... LOL

Honestly? I'm with you, that it's idiotic. I mean, I sit on ML for a majority of the day anyway, I guess at work Answering calls , is proof that I'm working - I guess .

Do the calls normally go to a central desk? and whomever answers the phone takes the call?

Why is your boss so dumb to require an additional means of monitoring you?

No the calls go through our receptionists who then puts in the tickets into the system and we work on them throughout the day as they come in.

He'll know that because you'll be able to answer questions about it - teach people about it... sending an email is meaningless - hell you could lie and then just watch the videos at night.
Granted - you're an hourly employee, and I'm assuming you're being paid for those hours you're at home that day.

That's probably it 100% - Im still hourly so To get paid they need to verify that I am in fact working.
