About to tear down the computer and move everything over to my home office. Covid-19 might have put a damper on our wedding plans, but we're still getting married the end of April dagnabit.

Phone hold for 2 hours with t-mobile to activate the sim in my mom’s new phone.
They never answered. An hour in I did a message through the T-Mobile app.
An hour later a rep answered there and got the sim swapped.
Wow. Never seen this type of delay before with T-Mobile.

Yeah, they had warning messages.. but meh i needed a person to do he ICCID swap. mom didn't have anything to pop the SIM. speaker phone and app message queue don't bother me.

Why are you asking that?
He's asking why, knowing how things work, they aren't locking down now that they know how important it is, rather than letting it spread first, then locking down when things are far worse.

People have had weeks to prepare. No one outside of the most remote villages with no power, phones, or Internet is being caught by surprise.

Some of our borders are a long way from major towns that have enough supplies to handle stranded travellers.
Getting to the border and being stuck for 2 weeks is not good, particularly if there are other health conditions at play.
