I just put long pants on for the first time since March (just a guess). After 2 days of rain, the wind came and pushed away the clouds and now it's friggin downright chilly! Well, 63F feels chilly after 90+ degree days for 5 months.

Oh, what a lovely morning! 53F when I walked outside, but you can't fool me, Georgia weather... I brought shorts to deal with the 25+ degree temperature change.

IT department from a restaurant I support called in this morning - They are moving everything to their domain - YAY right?
          no. It's horrible -
Anyway - we get all terms on the domain and I think everything is working.
except theres a terminal that wont load the POS - it's a known error so I run the fixes that I know - still nothing.
It's been 3 hours that I've been working on this.
          Also - the guy at the site I'm working with says and I quote ;
"Im gonna call it a day, it's 3:50 and I get off in 10 minutes. So you can do what ever you want, but call me in the morning and we can try some more stuff."
after that I didn't hear from him again, while I'm still trying different fixes and talking it through with people I work with, right? But the domain is so locked out (good for security not for little guy me over here trying to fix a terminal) I can't do anything at all - they were providing credentials for me to do the things i want.

So these guys just break shit and go home? Love it. then leave me stranded with no credentials - never told us ahead of time so I had to figure a bunch of shit out on the fly today and we're so backed up on calls, I'm still making them after hours - luckily im the on call guy.

Happy 4th monday of the week.

Hey, if his boss doesn't allow OT, and the restaurant isn't paying for after hours support - he should leave.

No I get that - but they do pay for after hours support through their maintenance contract.

Good luck. Way to many times I've had to setup a local forwarding "server" to get that working since printer firmware updates never seem to update available SMTP settings.

Well, then that vendor owes you an explanation why someone else wasn't instantly put on the call.

update ; this is fixed now

one of the subfolders didn't have inheritance turned on causing it to not be allowed to read/write or modify the contents of the folder (which happen to be the folder that held the program).

Waiting on the oxygen supplier to call. My wife's concentrator borked.

And watching Lucifer. The wife and I like it.

Remembering that mangolassi.it is a thing and that I should likely check in as it has been a minute since dropping by

Fighting SMTP settings for a MFP to scan to email. Several things were changed since the last one I had to setup...

Good luck. Way to many times I've had to setup a local forwarding "server" to get that working since printer firmware updates never seem to update available SMTP settings.

Don't remind me - I am migrating to M365... and have to make this change on all of my MFPs

Thatโ€™s what connectors are for. No authentication. Basic or otherwise. Just the IP

Never had to use one before, so I was (mostly still am unaware) of those.

So, turns out I don't have a hiatal hernia, or anything wrong with my colon.. Good I guess - except it means I likely really do have an issue with my heart ๐Ÿ˜ž
