Same as this year no refunds but tickets are transferable (so you can sell it off to someone else).

By using one of these ticket taking systems I would have to raise the cost significantly (even if they say free they really aren't when you look at the details).

You mean with Stripe, PayPal & Coinbase or the application Attendize?

Stripe and Paypal are just payment processing. Things like Attendize have lots of hidden things (believe me I spent a lot of time last year going through about 20 of them).

Got it! I thought since Attendize is self hosted, there won't be any costs as we will be the one managing things on it!

Part's of it are but parts of it force you to use their payment processor etc and that is where they get you.

Hey honey, would you like to have a romantic weekend get away for just us two? Don't mind the guy sleeping in the other bed, it's how I got us a discounted room! Yeah and I'll be away all day at a conference you'll think is as exciting as watching paint dry, but you could do fun things by yourself while I party and get drunk! It'll be awesome, I promise.

There is an amazing Spa about 20 minutes from the conference area. You could get her a couple days at the Spa for your anniversary!
