In a previous post I requested info for a client that is moving to the cloud with another consultant's/vendor's specs without having a clue about RPO/RTO.

I know I said I was done worrying. A question asked last year has me thinking. Is there a way to sync the data to the servers/server here and failover to our local servers.

There is always a way to do that, but the cost will likely be way out of line with the benefit.

Yup, always a way. A server in a cloud is no different, really, than any server on a different subnet. You can use all the same techniques that you use for any WAN disparate servers. That it is running on a cloud really isn't a factor.
