Finished the 2nd season of Big Mouth on Netflix. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney make a hell of a comedy team.

Just finished Orange is the New Black a few days ago. Started Ozark two days ago, had to stop myself after three episodes (yep, hooked that easy). Needed sleep so I could drive the kids to school in the morning!

Watching some Growing Pains with the girls while everyone else is at the vendor showcase.

Just finished The Good Place on Netflix. I'm pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Lots of references and ideas that I thought would go over the head of most TV watchers.

I havent watched any MCU or starwars movies since the first avengers. I plan on binge watching them in about a decade.

Decent story, decent villain, good action scenes and dialog. I really enjoyed Black Panther.

It wasn't a jaw dropping movie, but it was a solid movie imo. I'm not a movie critic, so I don't go very deeply into the acting or cinematography unless it is really bad. I'm also not a comicbook fan, so I don't have any original content to compare it to like with Star Wars. I just enjoyed the movie. It wasn't terribly deep or complex, but it was fun. TLJ, however, goes into the "Worst Movies I Have Ever Seen" category.

@dashrender What do you mean by this? Usually the people who say things are too "Preachy" use words like cuck and SJW in casual conversation, and are ok with the current crop of concentration camps that exist in America today.

I'll start by saying I know nothing of the Black Panther comics - but the whole - we gotta get out there and protect the other blacks in the world thing. That really put me off.
What is cuck? and is there something wrong with using social justice warrior in casual conversation? Not that I do - I haven't uttered those words in ages - at least a year - probably more.
The whole protecting classes movements of all kinds is a huge root of the problem. If you want equality, then talk about that - leave everything else out. Leave gender out, leave sexual preference out, leave race out. Don't march for gay rights, march for equality for all. Period. You get all of these groups together, all those SJW, and put them under the banner of equality for all - then you might see some real change.

Really? that was nearly word for word from the movie - how much more surface do you get? Now - if he said - we need to leave our land and protect the people, then I wouldn't be saying anything right now. But they weren't looking to protect everyone.

That was the dichotomy of the movie. T'Challah was being pressured to help the outside world. His cousin wanted to bring violent justice for Africans and people of African decent. He eventually chose to help all people. The trope was "do we use our knowledge for good or to conquer".
