Looked at them some time ago. Remember doing so and the name, but only remember that we didn't find them interesting enough to look into further. No idea if it was cost, features.... no memory.

I think I still have a free SpiderOakOne account. I never use it though. I seem to remember having a difficult time when I had to reload a computer but that was a few years ago so my memory could be wrong.

Nope, but just because your data is using encryption, doesn't mean it can't by encrypted by ransom ware.

          That website is clearly misleading.

Nothing misleading. They have version control.

It says zero knowledge, so I guess you generate and hold your own encryption keys?

Not passing keys would make sharing anything impossible. There is some small risk somewhere for a network adversary if they are there from beginning.

@scottalanmiller I vaguely remember looking at them at the request of my boss. Pretty much had the same experience you did.

Encryptr looks like an interesting password management tool. It's 100% free and open source.

Project has been dead for a while though. So that makes me wonder.

Yeah after more research, it looks like it was abandoned rather quickly

I remember them coming up a while ago. There were so many things like this, I just forgot about this one.
