Hidden Drive suddenly appears

I've seen this twice now. Once on my laptop, and now on another system.
It seems that POST Windows update, a previously hidden partition appears, and since it's a small partition, starts nagging the user about low disk space.
In my case I resolved this by nuking Win10 and spinning up Fedora 28 Cinnamon.
But for a Clients PC, I really don't have that option.
Questions:
- has anyone else encountered this
- Disk Management should hide this - correct?

Any progress on finding a solution for this one?

I haven't seen that, perhaps a fluke? Does a reboot fix it?

Although this link is about HP Recovery Partition, I believe you can use the same fix.

You just want to remove the drive letter from it.
