      From Cloudflare:

Update - This afternoon we saw an outage across some parts of our network. It was not as a result of an attack. It appears a router on our global backbone announced bad routes and caused some portions of the network to not be available. We believe we have addressed the root cause and are monitoring systems for stability now.

Question is, where did those "bad routes" come from?

      Garbage in = Garbage out.

Better yet.....Where was the Change Request?

Based on their follow-up post it was human error. So, my original thought stands. 🙂

So does mine. Garbage In usually means no Change Request. 🙂

Hmmm ... this from a little over a year ago.

                Same "problem".

Routing is not magic. Errors happen.

That may be so, but the expectation is that the same errors would not happen over and over again.
