I am reading this article and trying to figure out what I need to do. I have Outlook 2007 and 2010 in my environment. Do I need to use two separate templates to manage this or can I just use one?

Answered my own question in this article

Note The custom OutlookSocialConnector.adm template contains more settings for the OSC than are contained in the Outlk14.adm template file (referenced later in this section). Therefore, we recommend that you use the OutlookSocialConnector.adm template that is mentioned in the "Outlook 2003 or Outlook 2007" section with Outlook 2010 clients.

Glad you got it figured out. I was of no use on the question, or I would have helped.

I will point out that since its an ADM file instead of an ADMX file, I had to import it manually for the specific policy. ADMs don't automatically populate when in the central store. Although I did copy the ADM to the central store since it was easy to browse to when importing
