Google is letting me down. I can't find any information about using a GPO to:
      a) Enable Volume Shadow Copy Services (sometimes called: Previous Versions, and sometime inaccurately called File History)
      b) Turn on VSS with the default or a custom schedule.

Has anyone here done this via a GPO?

      Thanks.

2 second google search turned this up.
        https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-server/storage/file-server/volume-shadow-copy-service

not sure it's what you need though.

That is a good article, but it doesn't address Group Policy Objects at all. This is the problem I keep running into.

            This talks about

gpmc.msc is the correct tool to use. (gpedit.msc won't display the security/services items)

I'm building GPOs on the server so I have to use gpmc, gpedit will not build gpos.

That article is good, I've been heading down each rabbit hole it reveals, It may be leading me to the solution.

Thank you for the link. I'll report back with the actual link that worked if I am successful.
