I would rather use every other browser before Google Chrome.

Had that thought as well when I read the OP. If true, it is pretty ballsy when your browser is based on the Chromium platform.

I find that all of the browsers are annoying in their own way. So I just bounce between them when I get annoyed with Edge, I switch to Chrome... When I get annoyed with Chrome, I switch to Firefox (Vivaldi, Brave, and the others).... etc, etc, ad nauseum on my PC. On my mobiles, I tend to stick with defaults most of the time.

I haven't really found a browser that I REALLY like using in a long time... and they all update at such a frantic pace these days, It's hard to tell which one I want to use today.

Yeah. I get to stay at least partially current with the various big ones. Running Edge & FF on my officemachine. Edge & Chrome on my home laptop, Konqueror and Firefox on my home "server".

Shoot... I need to go install Safari on everything now, lol.

The Chromium codebase is widely used. Microsoft Edge, Samsung Internet, Opera, and many other browsers are based on the code. Moreover, significant portions of the code are used by several app frameworks.

Everybody here knows what Chromium is and which browsers are based on it.

However, Google Chrome (yes, based on Chromium, as the world is well aware) is proprietary and is just a sick piece of garbage... what Google does with it.
