OWA and Office 365

As for what type of account was created - Not sure what you mean there... @scottalanmiller and NTG got me set up with my organization on O365. -

As for what type of account was created - Not sure what you mean there... @scottalanmiller and NTG got me set up with my organization on O365.Right, but when you're choosing an account type, there is usually an option for Exchange and/or ActiveSync. You want to make sure you create that type of account. Don't use IMAP, or it won't work right.

I must be missing something in the translation (not language). Looking at the Main O365 Users console I don't see how that would be.
Looking in Exchange, OWA Activsync is not disabled. IMAP POP3 are.Or do you mean when setting it up on my phone... ?

There are different types of accounts you can choose when setting up an account. It may be listed as corporate. You want that, the IMAP server is outlook.office365.com and the SMTP is smtp.office365.com. Username is full email, and email is full email. Enter password. You want SSL. I don't see what you could be missing here.

He means on your phone. Do you have the 4 or the 4s? If it's the 4S i can verify that it says Exchange when you're trying to setup a new mail account. the rest should autoconfigure.

There is also a Outlook app for phones with push notifications. It only works with O365 not regular exchange. But I prefer it over using the built mail app, because when you add a corporate account to the phone it always wants to try (on both android and iOS) to make that the place to store calendar events and contacts.

That's exactly why you use it. Why wouldn't you want your calendar and contacts synced?

That's exactly why you use it. Why wouldn't you want your calendar and contacts synced?
Why would I want my personal contacts on NTG's O365? I keep my personal and professional life very very separate. The outlook app has Contacts and Calendar from Exchange with in it but it doesn't sync your local contacts.

I do the same on Android. I use Touchdown to separate personal from business.
