        easy fix
        yum -y update bash nss
        I have been doing it all day.

          why limit yourself only to updating bash? unless of course you know that another update will break something you have.

            @Dashrender yes, typically I would do a full update, not just that one package.

              I have a scheduled reminder every two months to check yum updates.

              When I do it, I set up snap shots and verify backups for critical systems. THEN I will yum update and see what is there and run them. For a major security issue lie, this, I will do only this item without those precautions.
