      Winbook vs Apple Gen 1-current.

One thing the Winbook has - wait it has more than one thing going for it that Apple doesn't.

      Price:

I got my wife the iPad 4 with Retina display - biggest one they had - close to $800. The Winbook is much much cheaper.

      Options:

The iPad has the lightning data connector and ear phone jack. There is no way to add (INTERNALLY) storage space.

Winbook has that option, not to mention an mini HDMI connect. I feel you can 'do more' with it.

Just a heads up...the 16GB version is $99 right now...not sure how you can survive with that little storage and no ability to install modern apps on the MicroSD:

Just picked up a TW802 for $99 at Microcenter.

Just installed the fat client that the GPS company uses. Going to telco the tablet to the back of a TV and connect to the HDMI to make a wall mounted map to see where their vehicles are.

Really wish the GPS company would move to a web based interface, but the Winbook makes it not a too expensive option.

Mine developed a "hot spot" and Microcenter would not repair it because I bought it off a third party seller on Amazon...:(

That's a load of BS. That means that they don't stand by their products. They "might" stand behind their store, but not behind their products.

That's pretty normal. unless you buy from an authorized dealer warranties are void. Too much blackmarket items from china.

Did you contact amazon? usually they will at least give a partial refund.

Yep...so it just sits in a box and I went back to using a Dell Venue 8 for my "mini" needs...

Amazon said contact the third party person...I did...they refused to have it service or exchanged since sale was over 30 days...

And the winbook itself (velco'd to the back of the tv) is getting power from the usb port on the tv.

Seeing this, one would think they could make a computer without the screen for like $30-$50.
