Ok have a client with ADT. We added a switch last weekend and put in a single router (there were 4 before). Since then their new network went in we have contacted ADT bout IP changes etc. We are able to access the control panel and the DVR however it appears that the hard drive is dead in the DVR and the cameras are just not coming on.

They are telling us the following: , that they will need to "rewire" because we have changed Internet Providers. What the heck does wiring have to do with a change in internet providers.

I am sick of yelling at vendors today.

Changing ISPs is a logical change, not a physical one. They are blowing smoke to throw you off. Don't buy into it. Put your foot down and stand your ground!

And their device died too. I have a feeling that they might be trying to cover their tracks after their hardware bit the dust.

ADT support is horrendous. You would save time & money just ripping and replacing their camera system. They did something similar with my in-laws business back in the spring. They quotes something like 15K to come out and replace or fix a broken analog DVR system.

I know a company that can source you some systems quickly if you are interested.

Ubiquiti and Axis do these kinds of systems too.
