Plantronics Sounding Boards Blew Up with Spam This Weekend...

So I go to check the Plantronics Sounding Boards this morning and notice there are 50+ unread items. Now this is QUITE unusual, until I realize the reason. A couple of people got on and spammed the community. Gotta send an email to the admins and let them know. Quite sad this happened...:(

Hmmm.... no moderators watching over the community I guess. Any unmoderated forum will just become spam bait rather quickly.

@scottalanmiller They have mods. I sent an email to one of them and they said they were working on it. Remember, they're in California, so it's still pretty early there. Or was when I sent my first email.

Spam is still flying on the Sounding Boards. They haven't locked the user accounts that are guilty. There is one primary guy responsible and anywhere from 6-12 more user accounts that are also generating these bogus posts.

They are finally cleaning things up. I can see that some accounts have been deleted or at least locked. The spam is going way down and things appear to be returning to normal. Not sure if it was a hack or just a bunch of spammer accounts that got created.

From the pic, it just looks like an account. Being hacked would likely be completely different.

Yeah, which is what I figured too. There were probably 7-9 accounts total, at a rough guess, that were doing it, but a few more prolific than others.
