Been putting this bit of news off, but can't keep it in.
We are getting new hardware...........
3x Dell R640 and a ......... Dell SC5020 all flash.Management thought Scale solution was "too advanced" to us and we'll stick with what we know.

One good thing, we looked at a few solutions and I got a NFR license of starwinds to use on the old kit to make a test lab from and play with VSAN stuff
