Possibly because the pre-orders outnumber the amount of available federal tax credits for the buyers. I don't care if the guy seems nervous when speaking, I;'d rather he spend his time innovating and sticking it to oil and gas companies.

Pretty much this. He has never been a great formal speaker from the announcements of either Tesla or SpaceX. His one-on-one interviews are generally excellent though.

Well, in all fairness, the possibility of .... um...... shrapnel from such an explosion has always deterred me from such creative plumbing methods.
