Think about IT end users. If allowed to do anything that they wanted all kinds of things would break down.

In which case? You mean freedom failed that people opted not to be free?

I'd start with public education failing to show / explain properly what it means to be free and what it's cost previously when that was threatened. Failing to show / explain all the possible alternatives we are aware of and their ramifications and examples of them in action.

Given enough time, though, you will lack those things. You only need to lack them once to lose the freedom you are trying to correct.

Although one would have to ask.... is freedom really better? Or do we only believe so because we are taught that?

Agreed, and that's an excellent question to ask in a class like that!

That assumes that classes can have the necessary resources to answer questions that societies have been struggling with for thousands of years.

@scottalanmiller No class will ever have all the answers, that's why we need bright people always asking good questions 🙂

Ampulex Dementor: Wasp Discovered in 2014 Turns Cockroaches Into 'Passive Zombies'

The ampulex was one of 139 species discovered in Asia's Greater Mekong region in 2014. It was named after the dementor monsters in the "Harry Potter" book and film series.

A soul-sucking ‘dementor’ wasp, a bat with long fangs, a stealthy wolf snake, a color-changing thorny frog, and the world’s second longest insect are among the 139 new species discovered by scientists in the Greater Mekong region in 2014.

Well if the immigration system was not so bad they likely would never have done it.

If the issue was only the passport thing, sure. But having people cheat to get into the schools is the bigger problem. And to get into such likely poor schools, too.

Speaking at a press conference in Islamabad, the cleric encouraged a military operation against all women wearing jeans, saying that they, not the Taliban, were the true threat to Pakistan.

Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. One has to wonder, though, would then the percentage of female jeans in a region not directly correlate to the chances of earth quakes? Why then are the earthquakes primarily in places with few jeans?
